My brain is so not made for multitasking – and learning a routine is pretty much about multitasking. How do you get otherwise your arms to do something different then your legs? The thing that really gets me with street dance: There is no space for thinking.

My friend and choreographer Thalia Charalambous announced her next street dance workshop in Berlin for 19. of May. As it is an invitation only event let me know if you are interested.

Sometimes I ask people funny things and sometimes they do more than I ever expect. One morning I saw this huge advertising at a tube station in London with two girls in front of it chatting. I asked if I could take a picture and this is the result. I so ❤ London!!

The day I left New York I saw this woman sitting in her window, reading a book and enjoying the sun. I don’t have much to add. Just a nice picture.

If you walk along the river Lagan in Belfast you’ll most likely meet this sculpture: Beacon of Hope – by Andy Scott. It’s a construction of stainless steal and cast bronze spiraling up and outlining a female body.

An friend of mine wrote this text recently and I found it so funny (and true) that I have to share it:

This is a great camera. I take pictures of dogs a lot. Girls think I’m deep when I take pictures of bleek landscapes. To make a more dramatic effect, I bring the photo into Photoshop and reduce the saturation until it turns grey. Then things look really cool. Then I tell the girls what I was thinking about when I took the photo. I am usually thinking about beer, or what’s on TV, but tell them I was thinking about life. Existence is a big word that people like to hear. Girls don’t usually fall for it. Some do, but it’s not a judgment on gender at all.

However, on my first run along the Thames this year I found this tree and couldn’t resist to take a picture with my iPhone. In a few weeks this tree will look so much different. Saturation and Beer rock…

Oomph – simple but effective?

I found this print ad for Virgin Active (a fitness and health club in the uk) again close to Lyric Square – just when I was walking home from Virgin Active. The last time I saw this ad the font and the background were different. I am wondering if the visual change has an effect? Will more people be interested by the change in joining a health club? I wonder how you track print campaigns and the effectiveness of changes?
